Visitors to the American Numismatic Association’s World’s Fair of Money convention in Pittsburgh, August 18-22, will have a rare opportunity to see some of the industry’s most acclaimed, multi-million dollar rare coins in one place at one time.
Among them will be the Walton specimen of the 1913 Liberty Head Nickel, the recently recovered No Motto Seated Dollar du Pont specimen and the 1861-P Paquet $20 Liberty MS67 Norweb specimen.
Monaco Financial will be the exhibitor of the famous Paquet $20 Liberty which was once owned by Ambassador and Mrs. R. Henry Norweb. The coin has not been seen in the public eye since the 1987 Norweb Collection Auction where it set a record for the highest price realized for a U.S. coin when the hammer down at $660,000!
Today this spectacular American Civil War rarity is considered by many to be one of the top three most valuable coins in existence with a value in excess of $8,000,000. Monaco Financial will exhibit the coin many times over the next two years, and the 2004 ANA Convention is the best place to launch the tour. Adam Crum’s book, An Insider’s Guide to Collecting Type I Double Eagles, will be given to those who register at each exhibition.
I am so excited about the next two years that I sometimes find it hard to sleep at night. The public will have the opportunity to view this wonderful coin and step back in time to an era that defined our nation, said Adam Crum, Vice President of Numismatics at Monaco Financial in Newport Beach, CA.
